27.02.2015 Japanese Game Releases

Not all dates are created equal, which is especially true when it comes to tomorrow. This Friday not one, not two, not even three excellent Japanese games are coming out over here. It’s four. Four of the beauties! My heart is truly all aflutter. Like a butterfly. Or a moth. This is some Silence of the Lambs stuff, but I can’t just can’t stay silent about these games!

Dragon Ball Xenoverse (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC)

Dimps are back on the Dragon Ball franchise with a team honed from some of the best fighting game developers and Dragon Ball developers alike. The game’s antagonists seek to rewrite the Dragon Ball story for their nefarious purposes, and it’s up to you to make sure events stay intact. Fight with all your favourite characters in your favourite events and locations from the Dragon Ball series. This is the most fluid and dynamic Dragon Ball fighting game yet – lend me your strength!

Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires (PS3, PS4, Xbox One, PC)

The Empires edition of Dynasty Warriors 8 adds a tactical element to the game, making it a little more more strategic, but still allowing for plenty over-the-top hack and slash action. Don’t think you’ll be able to sit back and think chin-strokingly about the battle, as you’ll need to get your hands dirty as with all Warriors! Perhaps the definitive edition of Dyntasy Warriors 8 – and the most up to date Dynasty Warriors yet!

Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late (PS3)

This revised edition of the much loved arcade game is a fighing game to be reckoned with. From the minds behind the cult classic 2D figter Melty Blood, but with a modern setting, this could be one of the best 2D fighters of our generation.

Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart (PS Vita)

This time Noire is at the forefront, in a game that’s set in a seperate world to the main Neptunia universe. The gameplay here is a lot more tactical, taking a strategic route with the battles. But there’s still that same good old fashioned moe fan to be had here, as you’ve come to expect from the “Hyper” series!
