Ace Attorney 15th Anniversary Celebrations

Well, 12th October 2016 marks the 15th anniversary of the release of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney! Of course, Capcom have some special things planned to celebrate 15 years of this widely-loved franchise. If you missed the Ace Attorney 15th Anniversary history video released back in September, you can take a look below:

So, what else are Capcom doing to celebrate?

An ‘Ace Attorney Special Court’ event was announced for 22nd January 2017. A variety of staff and voice actors from the main series will be in attendance, as well as actors from the latest Ace Attorney: Investigations stage play. This is a really cool idea, and I hope there’ll be some sort of recording for those of us unable to make the showings.

Marion Crêpes in Akihabara will be selling a selection of delicious crêpes inspired by Ace Attorney from 7th – 30th October. These crepes even come wrapped in special chibi Ace Attorney paper, and the adorable themed chibi illustrations can be bought as key rings too!

Don’t worry, there’s a couple of items that should be a bit more accessible to western fans! A new Ace Attorney Illustrations Archives art book and a Phoenix Figma have both been announced. The Phoenix figure has a selection of facial expressions and hands to match his sprites, which is really nice. The art book was released today, and is priced at 3,800 yen, but a release date and price for the figure haven’t been announced yet.

Further details of all of these things can be found on the official anniversary web page. Outside of official channels, I’m sure today will see lots of incredible fan art from fans all over the world. I can’t wait to catch up on everyone’s celebrations!

Spread the love!
