Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed launches July 23 in Europe
XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe have revealed that Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed will launch in Europe on July 23 for PS4 and Switch, and July 20 for PC via Steam and GoG.
Despite being the second mainline game to release in the west, Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed is actually an updated version of the first game in the franchise. Originally a PSP title, this remaster aims to make the game slightly more presentable for modern audiences.
In North America, a physical “10th Anniversary Edition” is available for pre-order alongside the standard digital edition — at the time of writing, the Anniversary Edition has not been announced for release in Europe.
Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed was a decent enough brawler set in a surprisingly faithful recreation of Akihabara, and it looks like this will be the case for Hellbound & Debriefed as well. July is a fairly hectic month for game releases though, so it’s hard to say whether a PSP remaster will be able to stand out from the crowd.
