Aksys Games shares more info on three upcoming otome releases

Aksys Games‘ recent “All Aksys Announcement Show” was packed with new information, including release dates for two otome games releasing later this year.

Starting the announcements was a confirmation that Olympia Soirée is still launching for Switch on September 9, 2021. The titular Olympia, now the last of her clan, must travel Tenguu Island to find her soulmate and preserve her bloodline.

Dairoku: Agents of Sakuratani also got a confirmed 2021 release date, coming to the Switch on December 2.

In Dairoku, Shino Akitsu is a member of the Occult Action Department, having the ability to see spirits and other creatures. As she monitors the beings that travel between worlds, Shino interacts with many otherworldly creatures, including a nine-tailed fox spirit and a mischievous oni.

Variable Barricade, the third Otomate release that was announced by Aksys Games alongside Olympia Soirée and Dairoku: Agents of Sakuratani, will be the only one missing its initial 2021 release window.

Now pushed back to February 2022, Variable Barricade’s protagonist Hibari lives alongside four bachelors, who were hand-picked by her grandfather in an attempt to find her a husband. Determined not to fall in love, she plans to frighten off each potential marriage candidate — despite their constant attempts to woo her.

For those that order any of these games via the Aksys Games store, there’s also the option to pick up their respective “Music Selections” soundtracks. First run copies of Olympia Soirée and Dairoku will come with free character cards as well.
