Anime License Round-Up MCM London October 2016

The second day of MCM London October 2016 has past and Anime Limited, Manga UK, Animatsu and MVM have all announced new licenses with more than a handful being highly sought after. Have a look below to see what’s heading to the UK!

Anime Limited followed up on a strong first day set of announcements and have matched it with some equally brilliant titles. These titles include Ace Attorney and Joker Game which have been sub-licensed from Crunchyroll, Princess Arete, Sword Art Online – Ordinal Scale and Evangelion 1.11 – yes, Manga UK released this several years ago and it’s incredibly easy to find and cheap to buy, but Anime Limited want to give it a collector’s edition worthy of the series’ legacy.

On the Sunday, the final day of MCM London for the year, Anime Limited announced that they’ll be bringing over the comedy slice of life anime Silver Spoon, Dagashi Kashi and Tenchi GXP in conjunction with Funimation, and Shouwa Genroku Takugo Shinjuu and Rokka: Brave of the Six Flowers alongside Crunchyroll.

Manga UK have had some great titles too mostly consisting of sequels to a few of their biggest releases including the Boruto movie, the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex movies are being re-released on both DVD and Blu-Ray (these were previously DVD only) alongside the same plans for the original Berserk movies. The two Beyond the Boundary films will also being heading to the UK, with the second film being a sequel to the series, alongside the popular Kirino Mosaic, Gatchaman Crowds Insight (the first season is great, check it out), the lovely and relaxing Flying Witch, A Certain Magical Index II and A Certain Scientific Railgun S.

MVM Entertainment had a quiet set of announcements with the Girls Und Panzer movie releasing alongside the shows Anzio OVA and Invaders of the Rokujyoma!? releasing on both Blu-Ray and DVD early next year.

There have been some fantastic anime announcements this weekend and I’m looking forward to a whole lot of them – you can bet we’ll have reviews on many of these titles!

Spread the love!
