Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian releases September 19
Koei Tecmo announced during a recent showcase that Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian will launch for PS5, Switch, and PC via Steam on 19 September 2025.
This latest entry is based on Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night, a mobile and PC free-to-play title that ended service outside of Japan earlier this year. It features new protagonists and a story separate from the mobile title (which hopefully also means that the story is completely disconnected too).
While the mobile game included lots of crossover characters, it seems like this will be quite limited in The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian. Four characters from earlier Atelier entries make their return as playable characters in Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian too:
- Sophie (Atelier Sophie)
- Wilbell (Atelier Ayesha/Dusk trilogy)
- Totori (Atelier Totori)
- Raze (Mana Khemia 2)
In addition to the usual blend of exploration, combat, and alchemy, some additional town development elements have also been added. While it doesn’t play as key a part as previous spin-off title Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists, it still seems to be an important aspect of the main story.
Pre-orders are set to open closer to launch, though it’s worth noting that there’s no info on any potential collector’s editions at this time. However, all purchases up to two weeks after launch will contain costumes for the two main characters, along with some helpful early-game accessories.
