Atelier Rorona 3DS remake is all about the head expansion
I wasn’t expecting Atelier Rorona 3DS. After Shenmue 3 and Phantasy Star Online 2’s western release – this is the last thing I ever thought I’d see in the History Of The World. Ever. That’s not to say it’s not welcome – I really like Atlerier Rorona, and Atelier games in general – but I do find the switch in style kind of strange. After Persona Q is there now some unwritten rule that says all 3DS JRPGs are better when Chibi-fied?
Regardless, it’s nice to see the series on 3DS – but I have to admit, I would much rather see the system get its own bespoke entry in the series. When you’re going to the trouble of making a JRPG, why not start fresh? Not sure I’ll be up for replaying this one again, just to see the how the story plays out when people’s heads have been expanded.
