Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei releasing Summer 2022

Initially teased during Idea Factory International‘s “Online Summer Festival”, the company has officially announced that Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei will be coming west for Switch during Summer 2022.

Birushana features Shanao, a young woman torn between her duty to live up to her clan’s name and her desire to live a peaceful life. Her journey to take down the Heike clan’s stronghold leads to multiple cherished relationships, and perhaps something deeper than the conflict between these two clans.

Route choices can be influenced by Shanao’s three character abilities — Strength, Knowledge, and Kindness — with a good balance of each being needed to avoid any bad ends. It’s possible to view how your choices will affect said abilities (along with character affection) in real time, and you can replay completed chapters to easily change their outcomes.

Alongside the standard physical and digital releases, Idea Factory International is also planning a Limited Edition. Its contents have not been revealed just yet, with more info to come closer to release.
