Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime premiers October 2022
Bleach‘s last arc will finally be getting its own anime adaption from October 2022, six years after the manga’s conclusion.
Directed by Tomohisa Taguchi (Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, the Persona 3 movies), Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will start airing in Japan during October, with VIZ Media also confirming a worldwide release.
The official trailer shows off the final arc’s stylish visuals, along with a new remix of Ichigo’s theme “Number One”.
Despite the generally negative reception from manga readers to Thousand-Year Blood War and the manga’s ending, it’s still nice to see anime fans get some closure after all these years. Who knows, maybe the large gap between arcs will allow for this version to surpass the original.
