Bullet Girls is Like Senran Kagura Mixed with Call of Duty
This summer Japan is getting another steamy Vita title, this time named Bullet Girls. The game was developed by D3, the same company behind the similarly cladly dressed Onechanbara. Featuring a mix between boobs and guns, Bullet Girls seems like a match made in heaven.
The game follows highschool girls that are a part of Ranger Crops. They are in a camp to learn military tactics. The story is told through visual novel cutscenes. Characters can be one of two classes, attacker and supporter. Attackers are directly controlled by the player, while supporters provide strategic hints.
Bullet Girls plays like a typical shooter. There are a variety of weapon classes including handguns, rifles, shotguns, bazookas and grenades. Each character can carry up to four different weapons which can be freely swapped in missions. Like in other shooters you will also be able to hide behind cover and dodge incoming fire.
You won’t just fight other soldiers. The game also features multiple vehicles, such as tanks, armored vehicles and helicopters. Battles will take place in a range of different locales some of which are school grounds, green fields and deserts.
You’ll be using Vita’s touchscreen during interrogation scenes. These scenes are basically the groping feature found in Senran Kagura for the Vita. Here you touch girls to teach them how to resist interrogation, in case someone else does the same.
The game looks really good and features another similar element to Senran Kagura, fully destructible clothes. It seems like ours girls are immune to bullets, but their clothes are not. If she gets hit, her clothes will start to tear off. There are 39 different kinds of these sequences depending where and how much your body got damaged.
There is quite a bit of customization here, as you can dress your girls. In a total there are 1,600 different combinations of bras and panties.
Bullet Girls will feature some popular voice actors which have also worked on Akiba’s Trip 2, Devil Survivor 2 and Ace Attorney.
Bullet Girls will be out in Japan on the 28th of August, exclusively for the PlayStation Vita. Let’s hope we hear news of a translation soon.
