Child of Light’s Aurora heads to Bloodstained this month
505 Games has revealed that Aurora, the protagonist of Ubisoft RPG Child of Light, will be added as a playable character in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night on March 31, 2022 for PS4, Xbox, and PC (the Switch update will arrive late).
Once available, Aurora will be the third playable character added to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night since launch.
While very little gameplay is shown during the trailer, the announcement post does shed some light on Aurora’s abilities. Her friend Igniculus makes a return, slowing enemies and healing Aurora, along with the Light Ray spell.
It’s an odd crossover to be sure — Child of Light released nearly eight years ago after all — though it could hint at the reveal of a new game in the franchise. In fact, Child of Light creator Patrick Plourde has mentioned that more news for the next title should be coming early this year.
