Clockwork Aquario launching November 30 in Europe
ININ Games has announced that lost arcade action game Clockwork Aquario will finally get its time in the spotlight when it launches for Switch and PS4 on November 30, 2021 in Europe (December 14 in North America).
Clockwork Aquario was delayed slightly from its preview Q2 2021 release window, though it’s already been more than 20 years since its initial cancellation, so a few extra months isn’t much in the grand scheme of things.
Some (non-standard) physical copies are still available via Strictly Limited Games, which should start shipping soon — probably not in time for the European digital release, however.
During a time where fans and non-profit organisations are having to scramble to try and preserve old games, it’s nice to see a once-cancelled arcade title finally make its way to gamers — nearly three decades after it almost disappeared forever.
