Cover Corporation denounces harassment of hololive VTuber Uruha Rushia

Cover Corporation has released a statement regarding the ongoing “controversy” (read: a minor incident blown out of proportion) surrounding hololive Fantasy’s Uruha Rushia.

In this statement, the company confirms that it “does not interfere with [its] talents’ private lives”, and reiterates the stress being caused to Rushia and other talents due to “slander and defamation”.

The need to “understand and investigate the situation fully” internally caused a delay in the statement’s release, with Cover Corporation apologising for any concern caused.

All of this revolves around a minor issue that happened during one of the VTuber’s recent streams, where a Discord message from a male singer was shown on screen due to a bug. Of course, a certain vocal part of the online community took this the wrong way, leading to harassment of both people and related companies.

With the aforementioned talk of slander, and mentions of “misleading information”, it remains to be seen what action Cover Corperation will take publicly. However, it’s clear that the company will support its talent against harassment during this time.
