Cris Tales releasing July 20, 2021

Having initially been delayed to 2021, and then given a July release window, publisher Modus Games has confirmed that Cris Tales will be finally be launching on July 20, 2021.

The news was first shared during a recent Indie World presentation by Nintendo, though the release date applies to all versions of Cris Tales.

Cris Tales will be launching on Switch, PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series X|S, PC via Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store, and Stadia. Physical copies will also come with a bonus poster, featuring key art from the game.

Edge of Eternity, another Japanese-inspired RPG by western developer Midgar Studio, recently received a release date as well. While it focuses more on open world gameplay, it’s clear that both games are made by teams that love JRPGs.
