Cult classic Killer7 announced for Steam by NIS America

We’re a bit late to the party on this, because it broke over the weekend, but I could not let this news pass without obsessively flailing my arms around in excitement. NIS America have announced the future re-release of the cult classic Killer7 on Steam for later this year!

For those that are unaware of this game, it comes from acclaimed writer/director SUDA51 and legendary directors Hiroyuki Kobayashi and Shinji Mikami. Its basic premise revolves around Harman Smith, an assassin with the ability to manifest his group of multiple personalities in the real world, known as the killer7. As this eccentric group of professional murderers, the player has to hunt down the sinister Kun Lan, stop his plan of world dominance, and end his deadly organisation called the “Heaven Smile”.

Key Features:
Multiple Personalities – Take control of Harman’s seven distinct personalities, each with their own appearance,
personality, weapon of choice and special ability.
A Sinister Foe – Face off against the “Heaven Smile” organization in a unique combination of third and first-person
shooting mechanics.
Killer Moves – Utilize the full host of the killer7’s special abilities to reveal secrets and solve puzzles.
A Killer Style – A timeless visual style that wowed audiences from its first reveal, perfectly ported to modern
machines.

At the moment we only have a prospective release date of Autumn 2018, but this writer is already massively excited for this game, what with it being more than 13 years since the initial release for Gamecube and Playstation 2. The unique gameplay style, beautiful cell-shaded visuals and straight up crazy story really brought SUDA51 to the attention of many, and that attention is very rightly deserved. Believe me when I say that you need to play this game and, to that effect, hopefully it will come to consoles in the future too for those without PCs. Keep an eye on Rice Digital in the future for more on this title as it is announced.

Spread the love!
