Danganronpa 2×2 brings players back to Jabberwock Island next year

Spike Chunsoft has announced Danganronpa 2×2, combining a remake of the original Danganronpa 2 with a brand new scenario.

Releasing 2026 for Switch, Switch 2, Xbox Series, PS5, and PC via Steam, Danganronpa 2×2 is once again set on Jabberwock Island, as a new set of students is thrust into a killing game. The original story sees Hajime Hinata, a boy with an unknown talent, as he tries to survive the game and make it off the island.

The original scenario has been updated with fancier visuals and a reworked UI. However, the main hook for this version is a completely new scenario that’s said to be as long as the original game, featuring different victims and culprits.

While no exact details have been given for the new route at this time, I’d imagine Danganronpa V3 fans are already a little suspicious of the Danganronpa 2×2 name.
