Following on from Danganronpa 1&2 Reload for PS4, NIS America have announced a Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls PS4 port for June! The game will release both physically and digitally for PS4, and will also be seeing a PC release further down the line.
Here’s an overview of the game:
Komaru Naegi, little sister to Makoto Naegi, has been imprisoned inside a mysterious apartment for over a year. One day, she is rescued by Byakuya Togami of Future Foundation, but the rescue is derailed by a sudden attack of hundreds of Monokumas. Komaru soon discovers that the city has been taken over by a group of children calling themselves the Warriors of Hope. Their leader, Monaca, declares that the city will be the site of a “children’s paradise,” and to accomplish this, all the adults will be exterminated. Komaru teams up with Toko Fukawa to try to survive the rampaging Monokumas, escape the crafty Monokuma Kids, and uncover the secrets of the city.
Unlike the previous two entries in the series, Ultra Despair Girls is a third-person shooter. Though it’s not really a main title as such, Ultra Despair Girls is still connected to the first two games, so it’s great that people who are playing Danganronpa for the first time through the PS4 release won’t be missing out on a part of the story.
The Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls PS4 port releases in Europe on 23rd June and in North America on 27th June. The game is also available for PS Vita.
