Danganronpa V3: Anniversary Edition details mobile-specific features

Spike Chunsoft has shared some of the changes that will be made to Danganronpa V3 when it releases on Android and iOS devices.

The majority of changes made in the upcoming Danganronpa V3: Anniversary Edition are aimed at the user experience for mobile players. While the Vita release already featured touch controls, Anniversary Edition will improve upon them further, along with introducing an updated UI for touch-only players.

Basically what you’d expect of a port to mobile, with Spike Chunsoft having already done this for the previous two Anniversary Editions. Also present in the last two ports was a gallery mode, which is coming to Danganronpa V3 as well. It’ll feature illustrations, character art, and voiced dialogue from the main game.

Danganronpa V3: Anniversary Edition currently has no release date, though it might not be far off. Danganronpa 2: Anniversary Edition launched back in August 2020, so this port has presumably been in development for a while now.

More platforms to enjoy the Danganronpa series on is always welcome, but it does beg the question — when will the games finally be available on Switch?
