Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate to receive more new characters

Team Ninja, developers behind the bouncy Dead or Alive series, has announced that they plan to incorporate more characters into the already expansive roster.
 
They announced this via Twitter, stating, “We announce officially that we will have more fighters to #DOA5UA first, then #DOA5U, after Marie Rose & Phase 4, coming next week.”
 
The characters will hit arcades in Japan first before being brought to console, and that all new characters will be available in a bundle DLC, but you’ll have to wait at least 6 months to leave time for all challengers to be tweaked and released.
 
Although the wait for new characters can be gruelling, be thankful that they’re being released one by one as Team Ninja were originally going to wait until they were all ready.
 
Sadly, there are no plans to bring these new characters to vanilla Dead or Alive 5 or Dead or Alive 5 + on Vita.
