Social deduction game DEATH NOTE Killer Within announced

Bandai Namco has announced DEATH NOTE Killer Within, an online social deduction game based on the manga and anime franchise.

Launching for PS4, PS5, and PC via Steam on November 5, 2025, players will compete to take down the other team’s leader. The Kira team is lead by a holder of the Death Note, while the investigators are run by the enigmatic L.

The goal is to either eliminate L or obtain the Death Note from the other team. Kira and their followers can steal player IDs and use those to kill players via the Death Note, while L and the Investigators can obtain testimonies and examine clues to help narrow down suspects.

DEATH NOTE Killer Within will launch as part of November’s PlayStation Plus line-up day 1, though it will also be available on PlayStation platforms as a separate purchase afterwards — since it’s a paid product, this would still require PlayStation Plus to play online.
