Digimon Story Time Stranger announced for 2025

Bandai Namco has revealed Digimon Story Time Stranger, a new Digimon RPG set to release for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam during 2025.

Announced during Sony’s State of Play stream, Digimon Story Time Stranger sees players travelling through time and the Digital World: Iliad to discover the truth behind the world’s collapse.

Outside of some brief story and gameplay snippets during the trailer, details are relatively scarce at the moment. Bandai Namco has confirmed that Time Stranger will be turn-based like the previous Digimon Story titles, and that combat will feature “evolved battle components”, whatever that means.

The reveal trailer also featured an English dub, which would be a first for the spin-off series if this extends to the full game. Both Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth games were Japanese audio only, with a number of localisation issues that will hopefully not be present this time.
