DNF Duel announced, co-developed by Neople and Arc System Works
DNF Duel, a Dungeon Fighter Online themed fighting game, was announced last weekend during Nexon’s Dungeon&Fighter Universe Festival.
For anyone unfamiliar with the series, Dungeon Fighter Online (known as Dungeon&Fighter/DNF in South Korea) is a long-running MMO featuring combat similar to a side-scrolling beat ’em up.
Nexon revealed a short teaser trailer for the game, featuring around 20 seconds of gameplay. It also shows that the game is not only being developed by Neople and Arc System Works, but also Eighting, a developer that previously worked on Fate/unlimited codes and Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Based on the footage shown, DNF Duel looks much faster than Arc System Works’ Granblue Fantasy: Versus, which was intended to appeal more to beginners. Here, even the heavier characters seem to have some speedy attacks.
Nexon are planning to release more info on the game at a later date. Considering Dungeon Fighter Online’s PC only origins, it’s probably a given that it’ll come to that platform.
