Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero delayed indefinitely

Toei Animation has announced that Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will be delayed to a future unannounced date due to the recent hacking incident.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero originally had an April 22 release date in Japan — people with ticket pre-orders will still be able to use them once the new date is revealed.

There’s one bright side to the announcement at least; Animation director Chikashi Kubota has mentioned on Twitter that the delay will allow for further improvements to the movie’s quality.

No further details have been shared on the Toei Animation hack, though it continues to delay many of the studio’s projects.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero revolves around the Red Ribbon Army, an old enemy of Goku that has been reformed once again. Unlike the previous Dragon Ball anime and movies, Super Hero will make use of 3D animation.
