Dragon Quest Builders – Minecraft Populated by Slimes
The newest Dragon Quest seems to be looking to Minecraft for inspiration. Dragon Quest Builders will have cute blocky retro-style visuals in 3D, in some points reminiscent of 3D Dot Game Heroes.
In the game you will be able to build up your base and have other characters move in to help your settlement expand.
The game will feature both a story mode for those that would like to enjoy the world of Dragon Quest and free build mode where you can let your creativity run wild.
Dragon Quest Builders will be out on January 28 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
I'm a huge fan of Japanese games and an aspiring game designer. I play literally every game genre. I also like retro games and miss the challenge that they once had. This is the reason why I love doujin games because they bring back that challenging aspect of retro games while innovating upon it.
