Egret II Mini console to get western release in 2022

United Games Entertainment has revealed that it will be bringing Taito’s Egret II Mini console to North America and Europe in 2022.

The Egret II Mini is a small console in the form of the original Egret II arcade cabinet, coming with 40 pre-installed games — these include Space Invaders, Lunar Rescue, Bubble Bobble, and Darius Gaiden.

Its screen can be rotated vertically for supported games, with the joystick having the option for both eight-direction and four-direction movement.

Additional games can also be loaded via the unit’s SD card slot. One such SD card will be bundled with the Egret II Mini Paddle and Trackball Game Expansion Set, adding in 10 more games which make use of those control methods.

United Games Entertainment will share more information on when the console will launch and its various editions during 2022.
