Elden Ring Nightreign to bring a different take on FromSoftware’s GOTY in 2025

After Elden Ring won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2022, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco returned once again this year to reveal Elden Ring Nightreign.

Launching for PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC via Steam in 2025, Elden Ring Nightreign is set to take players into a parallel universe from the main game. Instead of a massive open world, the entire game takes place in the singular region Limveld.

Gameplay looks to more akin to a roguelike, with each run split into three days with a boss at the end of each one. Each of the eight characters you can choose from comes with their own abilities, and the focus is on co-op play (though you can still go solo.)

Bandai Namco has revealed that at least one console network test for Elden Ring Nightreign is set to take place during 2025, with sign-ups starting on January 10, 2025.
