Fate/Apocrypha Anime TV Series Announced
It’s barely started, but 2017 is already looking to be a good year for Fate fans! There’s been a huge influx of Fate news, including new trailers for the Heaven’s Feel movies and Fate/Extra Last Encore! On top of this, a Fate/Apocrypha anime series has been announced! Check out the trailer below:

I’m very hyped about Heaven’s Feel and an Extra anime, but a Fate/Apocrypha anime is super exciting, as it’s finally a chance to get to know more about Apocrypha, which has been pretty much kept out of the limelight as far as bringing things west goes.
Apocrypha is a parallel to Fate/stay night, and follows the Great Holy Grail War in Trifas. A group called Yggdmillenia have stolen the Grail and declared themselves separate from the Mage’s Association. Naturally, the Mage’s Association strike back, enabling a Holy Grail War on a bigger scale than the one in Fate/stay night, with the Black Faction and the Red Faction battling each other as teams for the Holy Grail. It also introduces the new Ruler class Servant, who acts as the war’s mediator.
It’s mad, of course, and very exciting stuff!
The Fate/Apocrypha anime is due for release in 2017.
