Final Fantasy VII Remake coming to Switch 2, Xbox January 22
Square Enix has confirmed that the Switch 2, Xbox Series, and PC via the Microsoft Store versions of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will release on January 22, 2026.
These new releases contain everything from the base game and its Intergrade DLC, along with a “Streamlined Progression” feature. Streamlined Progression is essentially a collection of cheat codes, allowing you to have unlimited HP and MP, cause max damage with each attack, and more.
Digital pre-orders are open now, which includes a copy of the original Final Fantasy VII — while Xbox and PC players get access to this straight away, Switch 2 buyers will have to wait until January 22, 2026. Meanwhile, physical pre-orders on Switch 2 contain a booster pack for the Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy crossover set.
Final Fantasy VII Remake originally released for PS4 on April 10, 2020 with the updated Intergrade release following for PS5 and PC in 2021.
