Final Fantasy VII Remake gameplay trailer revealed
Tonight at PlayStation Experience, Sony and Square Enix revealed that the Final Fantasy VII remake for PS4 will have a new combat system as shown off in a new trailer.
The trailer, as seen below, shows that FFVII will be more of an action-RPG in a similar style to upcoming Final Fantasy XV or the more recent Type-0. It’s still an early build, but it’s looking fantastic and the characters still resemble the lego blocks that they once were on PS1 and PC.
If that wasn’t enough, the PC port of Final Fantasy VII, a port from the PS1 version but with trophies, releases on PS4 today too! I’ll be sure to pick it up soon.
I’ve been gaming since a very young age and although I can’t remember my very first game, I fondly remember enjoying Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and being giddy with joy once I beat Dr. Robotnik. My all-time favourite game is a tie between Persona 4 Golden and Final Fantasy IX. As you may have noticed, I have a love for JRPG’s although I dabble in all genres.
