Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier closed beta test starts next month

Square Enix will be holding a closed beta test at the start of June for its mobile battle royale Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier.

Unfortunately, the test is limited in both available regions and compatible devices. Only Android device users in the US and Canada can apply. Everyone else will have to wait, either until further tests are held, or when the full game release.

Beta recruitment will be open until May 27 2021, with the actual test running from June 1 to June 7. Despite being a closed beta, the website states that “We want tons of players to join the test”, implying that there wont be a limit on the amount of people accepted.

Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier is just one of Square Enix’s upcoming mobile games, with Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis planned for release during 2022. Tetsuya Nomura revealed earlier this year that Ever Crisis will be free-to-play with gacha elements.
