Final Fantasy XIV Heavensturn 2022 starts January 5, 2022
Square Enix has announced that the latest iteration of Final Fantasy XIV’s Heavensturn event will will be available until next year, instead arriving on January 5, 2022.
Heavensturn usually happens on New Year’s Eve, but Endwalker’s delay caused most events to be behind schedule. If you want an idea of how badly it affected the event schedule, All Saints’ Wake — Final Fantasy XIV’s Halloween themed event — is also planned for January 2022.
2022 is the Year of the Tiger, with the Heavensturn event rewards following this theme. You’ll once again be able to get a pair of animal-themed helmets, along with a canvas housing item featuring the mythical Byakko.
Unfortunately, if you haven’t started XIV yet, you likely wont be able to join in the new year celebrations. Square Enix halted sales of the game this month due to overwhelming demand causing long server queues, with no news on when this will be lifted.
