Final Fantasy XIV Heavensturn celebrates the new year by giving players an adorable cryptid
The Final Fantasy XIV Heavensturn event is back once again to celebrate the beginning of a new year, with the reward this time being another different take on a familiar minion.
Running now until 16 January 2025, Final Fantasy XIV Heavensturn 2024 can be started in Limsa Lominsa’s Upper Deck by talking to the NPC Hebi Bugyo. Here, players are tasked with learning more about the event’s in-game customs, with a number of rewards up for grabs.

The main reward is The Great White Tsuchinoko, a minion based on The Great Serpent of Ronka (now snow white with some new decorations and a Mandarin orange on their head.) A few housing items are up for grabs too, as is tradition with all FFXIV events at this point.
Naturally, you can also purchase last year’s Heavensturn reward — a Chocobo Hatchling dressed like a dragon — from the Final Fantasy XIV Online store. Expect this year’s rewards to go up on the store too once Heavensturn 2025 comes around.
