Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.1 launching April 12

Square Enix has announced that the first major patch for Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, “Newfound Adventure”, will launch on April 12, 2022.

Newfound Adventure sees the Warrior of Light accompanying Estinien as he follows a suspicious map, with the trailer briefly showing off a few story events.

Patch 6.1 also introduces the first alliance raid, Myths of the Realm, Part 1: Aglaia, delving deeper into the myths behind Eorzea’s gods.

For newer players (or those leveling classes and jobs), the Duty Support system has been added for 2.0 dungeons and trails. This allows you to play with AI companions, mirroring the system used in Shadowbringers and Endwalker. Further updates will implement this system into 2.X, Heavensward, and Stormblood content.

Even PvP is getting some new content with the introduction of Crystalline Conflict, bringing additional maps and seasonal rewards. The Garo crossover event makes a return too, adding in more gear for newly added jobs.

Check out the official Patch 6.1 website for a full list of the content coming to Final Fantasy XIV later this month.
