Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster comes to PS4 this May

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be making its way to PS4 later this year with no upgrade scheme for those who purchased it on PS3. Praise be to Yevon?

I’m not entirely sure who this release is aimed at. I love the game to bits but I don’t see any reason to upgrade from the PS3 version; it’s a PS2 game at heart, the visuals aren’t going to be noticeably better than they are on PS3.

Other than the tweaked visuals, the newly added features include the ability to switch between the original and remastered soundtracks and, of course, you can cross-save between the PS4, PS3 and Vita versions which launched early last year. There’s also this gorgeous steelbook if you pre-order in Europe, and a desk calender if you live in North America; I’d prefer the calendar myself, even if I won’t have it until almost halfway through the year!

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster launches on PS3 on 15th May in Europe and 12th in North America at £39.99 and $49.99 respectively.

Spread the love!
