Latest Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes trailer introduces protagonist, new gameplay systems

Nintendo has released a new trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, showing off its new protagonist.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is an action RPG based on Fire Emblem: Three Houses, seemingly taking place before that game’s main story. Shez — their default name, which can be changed — is the new main character of this tale, described as “a mercenary who was meant to fade from the pages of history”.

Byleth, the protagonist of Three Houses, also takes the role of a villain as the “Ashen Demon”. It’s currently unknown whether they’ll be playable in Three Hopes.

Some of the new gameplay elements are also shown during this latest trailer. It’s possible to order troops during battle, unleash Partner Specials with allies, and explore the world map to find new events.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes launches exclusively for Switch on June 24, 2022. A physical Limited Edition will also be available, which includes an artbook, a tapestry map of Fódlan, five acrylic figurines, and a character postcard set.
