Free Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Card Warriors update launches October 27
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot‘s next free update is surprisingly ambitious, adding in an wildly different gameplay mode.
Dragon Ball Card Warriors is a fully fledged card game that will be available to all owners of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot on October 27.
Bandai Namco have released a trailer for the update, giving a brief look at Card Warriors’ basic mechanics. It looks somewhat similar to Yu-Gi-Oh!, but with a few twists here and there. For example, defeated cards generate resources that can be used for special skills, and the energy used to summon cards can be stored until a later turn, giving access to more expensive character cards.
For a free addition to an action RPG, there’s clearly a lot of effort put into this update, with a wide variety of cards, online play, and even monthly tournaments. It almost makes you wonder why it’s part of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, rather than a completely separate game…
