A Guide to Japanese Role Playing Games releasing June 25
It may have been delayed a few times (thanks to current events in the UK), but Bitmap Books‘ A Guide to Japanese Role Playing Games is now set to release on June 25, 2021.
Created in collaboration with Hardcore Gaming 101‘s Kurt Kalata, A Guide to Japanese Role Playing Games covers everything from the genre itself, to a wide selection of JRPGs from various sub-genres. A full list of games featured in the book is available via the Bitmap Books website, reaching over 600 games in total.
At 652 pages, it’s a hefty book even in its standard form. But for anyone wanting a few extras, a collector’s edition will be releasing on the same day. This version comes with a slipcase, plus a bookmark, postcards, an A2 poster, and a custom-made USB drive featuring demos for upcoming indie JRPGs.
There are no pre-orders for A Guide to Japanese Role Playing Games, so you’ll have to wait until 5PM BST/9AM PDT on the 25th to pick up a copy — it’s £34.99 for the standard edition, £54.99 for the collector’s edition.
