Guilty Gear 2 Overture Now on Steam
Well this came out of nowhere. Guilty Gear 2 Overture was just released on Steam. This spin-off is the first 3D Guilty Gear in the series and it plays totally differently from main titles.
Guilty Gear 2 Overture was originally released exclusively for the Xbox 360 way back in 2007. Even though it was never as popular as the main installments, receiving mediocre scores, it did the MOBA formula before MOBA’s were popular.
The game is a mishmash of genres featuring combat from the classic Guilty Gear titles, battles against a large number of foes like in Dynasty Warriors and tactical elements with troop management more in-line with RTS games.
Even if you are torn on the gameplay you might wish to check this one out for the story. Ky Kiske is a king of a country. Oh, and he has a son with Dizzy called Sin who uses a flag pole as a weapon. It’s as ridiculous as it gets.
You can currently grab the game for 40% off on Steam. This discounted price will last until April 7th.
For now, the only multiplayer mode that is available is Player Match, while Ranked Matches, Rankings and Replay Viewer will be added at a later date.
