Guilty Gear Strive launches April 9, 2021

Having been delayed from its initial 2020 release date, Arc System Works have announced that Guilty Gear Strive will now be launching on April 9, 2021 for PS4, PS5 and PC.

This was revealed during the recent Guilty Gear Strive livestream, which featured a number of exhibition matches from a newer build of the game.

During the stream, one more member of Strive’s initial roster was shown off, an original character named Giovanna. Her moveset seems to be full of kicks, using her spirit wolf companion to extend the range of her attacks. Giovanna’s reveal trailer also hints at Anji Mito’s inclusion in the game, with there still being one more character reveal planned before release.

There’ll be a few versions of Guilty Gear Strive available on launch day, including an Ultimate Edition that bundles in a lot of DLC. As you’d expect with an Arc System Works game, this means that there are a couple of character colour packs, plus the game’s first season pass.
