Guilty Gear Strive open beta test coming this month
Arc System Works and European publisher Bandai Namco have announced that Guilty Gear Strive‘s open beta will begin for PS4 and PS5 on February 19 at 3AM GMT, running until February 21.
Early access will be available in both North America and Europe, but through different methods. Players in the former region can play the beta a day early by pre-ordering Strive digitally, while Europeans must apply for early access through the Bandai Namco website.
13 characters will be available during the open beta, excluding Anji Mito and the currently unannounced 15th character. Both local and online play is possible as well, with the latter finally including rollback netcode.
The game’s netcode will be a deciding factor for many potential buyers, since local multiplayer isn’t exactly feasible in most parts of the world right now.
Guilty Gear Strive is still set to release worldwide on April 9 for PS4, PS5, and PC via Steam, though a recent trailer confirmed that certain versions of the game would be getting three days early access.
