A feature in the latest Famitsu magazine reveals that Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, which will also release as a paid update for those who own Revelator, will be releasing in Japan for PS4, PS3 and PC on 25th May. REV 2 has already been confirmed by PQube & Aksys for a release in the West, too.
A new Episode Mode has been revealed which features episodes focusing on individual characters, but it’s unclear whether or not this will be like an arcade mode or cinematic only. We’ll be sure to continue our coverage of Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 as more information becomes available! Currently Baiken and Answer are the new additions to the Xrd cast list, and ones that fans have been wanting for a while.
The previous version of Revelator, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator, released in the west pretty soon after its Japanese release. However, in this case we’ve still not heard of a set release date from either Aksys or PQube, the game’s North American and European publishers respectively. Fingers crossed on it getting the same treatment as the first version, and as it’s just an update you wouldn’t expect there to really be any problems with it.
