.hack//G.U. Last Recode rated for Switch by the ESRB

A rating by the Entertainment Software Rating Board for .hack//G.U. Last Recode on Switch has appeared online.

Originally launching for the PS4 and PC back in 2017, .hack//G.U. Last Recode is a HD compilation of the three PS2 .hack//G.U. games with an extra fourth chapter bundled in. It was a good deal for European fans of the series, as none of the games were released here in the past.

An ESRB rating doesn’t guarantee that the game will definitely release, though it’s highly likely with this title in particular — Ni no Kuni II (another Bandai Namco published game) on Switch previously leaked via the ESRB, and was officially revealed soon after.

The .hack//G.U. games have aged better than the previous tetralogy (at least in terms of gameplay), even if Last Recode tones down the difficulty a lot. PS4 players can currently pick up the collection digitally for £7.19, which is a steal for the amount of content on offer.
