Has Happy Manager VR Been Quietly Cancelled? (Still Coming to Vanilla PS4)

It could just be an omission, but the website for D3’s upcoming Happy Manager has been updated, and mention of the PlayStation VR format has been removed. We’ve not heard much from this game at all since TGS 2016, so it’s possible there might have been some issues with development.

The game was originally slated to come out Winter 2017, but is now due out January 2018. This isn’t too much of a push back, but having not heard much about the game for a while it’s not impossible development has been difficult.

Hachima has noted that the official website for Happy Manager has updated to remove the PlayStation VR logo from the bottom. Previously it featured the PlayStation 4 logo alongside the PlayStation VR logo, but now only PS4 remains. Also, both formats were listed in the game’s information, but not longer.

Judging from the trailer, Happy Manager is a very first-person perspective focused sim. It would be strange indeed to pull back from releasing with PSVR compatibility. It’s not impossible this is simply an omission, but as of writing the official website still no longer has any mention of PSVR.

Happy Manager is due out on PlayStation 4 at the very least in January 2018 (in Japan).

Spread the love!
