Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage global release announced for 2021

Sega has announced that the free to play title Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku is being released globally under the shortened name Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage.

Arriving some time this year, Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage features Miku and her friends alongside a cast of 20 new characters, split into five bands with their own songs and stories to tell.

Colorful Stage’s touch-based gameplay should feel familiar to mobile rhythm game fans, with songs playable solo or in a group. As always, you’ll also have to unlock new versions of the cast via gacha.

More Miku is always welcome, even if this isn’t a mainline Project Diva title. It’s been a while since a completely original Project Diva game has been released (Future Tone and Mega Mix were based on the arcade title), so hopefully we’ll see something new soon.
