Upcoming horror game Death Mark from Experience has got its first screenshots via Famitsu! It certainly looks pretty creepy from what we can see so far, and it will be interesting to find out a bit more about how the game will play. If you missed the game’s teaser trailer in December, you can give it a watch below:
In Tokyo Metropolitan H City, there’s a rumour about a ‘mark’ that suddenly appears on people and will lead to death. Nobody knows where it comes from, or why it appears, but people say it’s some sort of curse. People who have the ‘mark’ are invited to the mysterious Kujo mansion to seek a way to be saved.
Players take on the role of a middle-aged man with the ‘mark’, who wakes up in the mansion with amnesia. He is greeted by the master of the mansion, a beautiful doll that can speak, who tells him; “This path will lead to your death. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a way you can be saved”.
Death Mark looks very mysterious and interesting so far. It reminds me a bit of Project Zero III from the concept, which is no bad thing to me! I certainly hope we’ll see this one come west. The art looks stunning, and a horror game that is also beautiful is quite unusual!
There’s not much information on what kind of game it is, other than ‘adventure’, but the screenshots suggest there will be some visual novel elements. It’s also been confirmed that choosing the wrong option can lead you straight to a game over, and that you’ll need to pick a partner to help you explore the mansion, while trying to avoid an enemy that is after you and could certainly kill you in a confrontation.
