Iwakura Aria out now, bringing a tale of mystery in 1960s Japan

Iwakura Aria is available now in the west via our friends over at PQube, detailing one maid’s story as she finds out the truth behind a mansion and its mysterious heiress.

Taking place in Japan after World War II, 16-year-old orphan Ichiko Kitagawa finds herself hired by a wealthy nobleman to work as a maid at the Iwakura Mansion. Despite the seemingly welcoming atmosphere, the mansion potentially holds darker secrets connected to Aria Iwakura, the frail daughter of the man who hired Ichiko.

Follow Ichiko as she learns more about both Aria and the mansion, exploring across the estate and making choices that will affect her future.

Digitally, Iwakura Aria is available on Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Switch players can also grab the game physically, with a list of retails in each region available via PQube’s official website.

  • Renaissance Dream: illustrations in a painterly style, and cut-out frames which piece together multiple images into one scene, by illustrator Hyakunen and graphic designer Nakada Fumi, bring the story to life.
  • Gripping Connections: the bonds between the women of the mansion pull together the story, from friendship to love, these strong emotions underpin the suspense which builds with each chapter.
