JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Dub – Season 1 is Getting Dubbed!

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (2012) is one of my favourite anime series. It perfectly encapsulates everything that’s great about the manga. Part 2: Battle Tendency is a highlight for me, which is included, along with Part 1: Phantom Blood, in the Season 1 box set. But it’s recently been unveiled that JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure will be receiving a dub as part of the box set!

Right Stuf tweeted yesterday that there would be an English dub, updating their product page, and said that they had confirmed it with Warner, the anime’s western publisher.

This is incredible news given JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’s rocky history with western localisation. It also makes me incredibly anxious. But, after some iffy attempts at an anime adaptation by other companies, David Production’s 2012 JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has been really fantastic, and is still ongoing (and hopefully will be for, well, forever). There’s no reason to think that the dub won’t be fantastic either.

At least, it had better be, because as with any dub there’s the possibility of it being bad. But, if they play it right, it could really enhance the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure experience, and hopefully bring it to a whole new audience.

At least it gives me an excuse to watch Part 2 again.

Here’s the sort of thing you can expect from the best anime:
