Tekken’s Kazuya Mishima is joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s next DLC fighter has been revealed — Kazuya Mishima from Bandai Namco‘s long-running Tekken series.

Kazuya brings many of his familiar moves to Smash Bros, using his own brand of karate. Parts of his moveset, such as smash attacks, also bring out his devil form. This form seems to give him some extra aerial mobility over other traditional fighting game characters in Smash like Ryu and Terry.

Smash Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai will share more on this latest DLC character, including the release date, on June 28 at 3PM BST. As with other DLC fighters, there’s a chance that Kazuya will launch on the same day as this presentation.

There’s now only one more character to be revealed for Fighter Pass 2 before Ultimate’s DLC support will end. While another Fighter Pass would allow for even more crossover characters and other Nintendo reps, Sakurai probably wants to take a break at this point.
