Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama’s Bokeh Game Studio working on new horror game

In an interview with IGN Japan, the recently founded Bokeh Game Studio revealed that it is working on a new horror game, slated for release in 2023.

Bokeh Game Studio was formed by Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama, along with Kazunobu Sato and Keiichiro Toyama, after they left Sony Japan earlier this year. During his time at Sony, he worked on two main franchises: Siren and Gravity Rush.

The studio’s new title might be a little more subdued that previous horror games by Toyama, as he states that ‘this will be more of a horror-oriented game. But we will focus on making this a broader entertainment experience, rather than a hardcore horror game.’

There’s still a while to go before this project is complete, with Kazunobu Sato mentioning that the team is ‘just entering prototype development, and development will probably take nearly three years’. Boken Game Studio are planning to show more about the game’s development through social media, so make sure to follow them for potential reveals in the future.
