Killer7 gets surprise update on PC
Despite releasing close to 6 years ago, the PC release of Killer7 has just received a brand new update.
As detailed in the patch notes, this patch has a number of welcome improvements to the visual side of Killer7, along with some nice quality of life features.
All videos are now remastered, using the original GameCube release as a base to improve their quality. Some reload animations that were previously stuck at 30fps have been ugraded to 60fps, with more textures and fonts upscaled to look better at modern resolutions.

Some of the other updates hint at why this update might potentially have happened. Rather than the default Xbox icons, the PC release of Killer7 now supports more glyph options. Paired with this is native support for DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers.
Could Killer7 be coming to modern consoles? NIS America and Grasshopper Manufacture haven’t confirmed anything yet, though we wouldn’t say it’s out of the question thanks to this update.
Killer7 is currently available at 75% off on Steam, with the sale running until November 8, 2024.
